Dear Arizona teachers, parents and high school students,
I
would like to share an exciting opportunity for Arizona high school
students to travel to China this summer with you. The Confucius
Institute at Arizona State University
and the Confucius Classroom at Catalina Foothills High School,
together with the Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban will host the 2013 Chinese Bridge Summer Camp in China.
o
Date:
The 2013 Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is a 2-week program, starting on
July 10 (Wednesday)
and ending on July 25, 2012 (Thursday). Students will visit Beijing
and one of the following cities: Tianjin, Henan, Shandong, Hunan,
Zhejiang, Yunnan, and Jilin.
o
Eligibility: This summer camp is open to grade 9-12 high school students, aged 14-18,
whose native language is not Chinese.
o
Fees:
The participant will be responsible for the round-trip airfare from
Phoenix/Tucson
to Beijing, cost for international travel medical insurance, and fees
for China visa application. Hanban will cover room and board, domestic
airfare and transportation, activities and tours/admission tickets
during the calendar of events and activities of
the camp.
o
Application Fee:
Each
applicant will pay $200 application fee which will be used to help
cover international airfare for chaperons who will be with the campers
throughout the program.
For the date, shouldn't it be from July 10th to July 25th 2013, not 2012? It was just something that caught my eye. This program seems very interesting.
